In this role you will be responsible for sourcing the Amplicon own brand products and/or distributed ranges from origination through to market. You will need to be able to identify market opportunities, devise and execute route to market strategies in collaboration with the product development manager, sales/marketing and engineering departments.
The goal is to grow sales of Amplicon own brand portfolio of industrial computing products throughout the UK & Europe.

Building product roadmaps, particularly technology roadmaps
Working to a critical path and ensuring all products are produced on schedule
Ensuring products are within price margins and to specifications
Skills and Interests
To be an Amplicon Product Specialist you'll need:
2+ years experience in a Product specification/selection role with a respected supplier of Engineering or Industrial IT/Electronic products
Technical qualification with a good grounding in industrial electronics
Self motivated and able to learn new skills quickly
Organised with good time management
Able to handle pressure and to meet deadlines
Flexible, adaptable and accepting change

Technical Sales Engineer
An Amplicon sales engineer combines strong technical knowledge with good sales skills. You will need to be able to clearly demonstrate individual initiative but still be a good team player.

Typical work activities
Searching for new customers who might benefit from Amplicon products or services and maximizing customer potential
Developing and growing long-term relationships with our customers
Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
Negotiating and closing sales
Administering customer accounts; recording and maintaining customer contact data;
Meeting and exceeding sales targets
Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, seminars and other marketing events
Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product would meet a customers needs
Coordinating sales projects by liaising with other members of the sales team and other Amplicon technical experts
