Amplicon's Industrial Computing Group has released the next generation of Ventrix systems to deliver the latest Intel roadmapped processors to our customers. All of our form factors are now available with 45nm Intel Core 2 Quad processing power!

The Intel 45nm series processors incorporate two significant advances in cache technology, which greatly improve performance: -

• Smart Memory Access uses a newly developed prediction mechanism to manage processor cache memory more effective. New pre-fetch algorithms move data from system memory into fast level 2 processor cache in advance of execution more.
• Advanced Smart Cache dynamically shares the level 2 cache across the individual processor cores based on their workload. This increases the total amount of available cache to each core, significantly improving the cache effectiveness.

All of our standard systems can be fully customised to meet your requirements. We are a Microsoft Embedded Channel Partner and can provide a range of operating systems from MSDOS to Windows 2008 Server (subject to compatible hardware).

UNIQUE NEW LINE OF USB2.0 EXTENDERS FROM AMPLICON

The new Ranger 2200 series products integrate the LionsGate^TM USB Extension ASIC, and feature the patented ExtremeUSB® protocol to extend USB to reaches of 100m over Cat 5 cabling and up to 10km over fibre. All systems are housed in durable metal enclosures and meet emissions and EMC testing standards for use in a wide variety of demanding end applications.

ExtremeUSB® provides long reach USB 2.0 connections without performance degradation and with the maximum ease of integration. The Ranger 2200 products are true plug and play devices, requiring no additional software drivers. They are compatible with all major operating systems - Windows, MAC and Linux.

Ranger 2204 - 4 port USB2.0 extender using CAT5/6 cable up to 100m, power at both ends required
Ranger 2212 - Unique 2 port USB2.0 extender with remote power (full 500mA) capability

MEET THE AMPLICON STAFF - ESTHER NOLAN

Esther is Amplicon's new Graphic Designer, only joining the team in December. She graduated in July 2009 with a First Class Honours Degree in BSc Product Design from Sussex University.

Throughout her degree she became more interested in the graphic side of design and with her degree course firmly based in Engineering, this role at Amplicon was a perfect match.
