The ME61s are designed to be used in pairs (1xA version & 1xB version) to transparently extend Ethernet links over a single strand of SINGLEMODE fibre. Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology is employed to achieve full duplex comms over a SINGLE strand of fibre. Already used in submersible vehicle umbilicals & inter-building links, this innovative product can save thousands of pounds in costly fibre optic cable.
