Depending on the industry and within the same industry, some applications require more approvals than others. We have worked with a number of system integrators in order to get pre-compliance tests carried out successfully using our EMC test facility in Hove.
For the rail industry, we have tested and tailored a number of our products for required EMC pre-compliance. EMC pre-compliance tests we have carried out include BS EN 50121-3-2:2006 (Railway applications – Electromagnetic compatibility: Rolling stock – Apparatus).
We recognise that it is quite difficult to get any one product or solution to suit every rail application. Some applications in rail control rooms will have different requirement specifications when compared to applications onboard the train or at trackside.
