The iDSC 1816 board from Microstar combines 16-bit resolution on 8 simultaneous channels of data acquisition with brick-wall anti-alias filters on each. It comes with DSCview for Windows or Linux operating systems, which allows you to customise the filter characteristics of each channel, without any Windows programming. The iDSC 1816 provides continuous, gap free data, and allows a different cutoff filter on each channel. On-board analog filters pass signals to 8 sigma-delta converters that each run at 9.83MS/s. Digital filters and decimation eliminate any aliases below the stop band of the analog filters and the board delivers simultaneous streams of filtered data at 153.6kS/s on each channel
To compliment the iDSC 1816, an 8 channel signal conditioning module MSSC-8 is available from Microstar. These modules may be supplied in an SCS package for 8, 16, 24 or 32 channels, which includes an industrial enclosure and provides industry standard 15-pin sub D connectors for each channel. This enables direct connection to the following:-
Current sensor excitation
Voltage sensor excitation: 1, 2, 5 and 10Vdc
Quarter, half and full bridge resistor networks
120 and 350 Ohm resistors
10 full scale options: 10mV, 20mV, 50mV, 100mV, 200mV, 500mV, 1V, 2V, 5V and 10V
Programmable gain with auto-calibration
Programmable AC/DC coupling for ICP sensors
