The PCI 8164 from ADLINK is an advanced 4 axis stepper and servo motion control board for the PCI bus. The board generates a high frequency pulse train to control motor speed and position. In addition to features such as linear, trapezoidal and S-curve velocity profile, you can also change speed and position on the fly.

In multi-axis operation, the PCI 8164 provides linear interpolation by any 2, 3 or 4 axis. Any 2 axes can also perform circular interpolation. The PCI 8164 provides position compare and trigger functions, plus automatic backlash compensation whenever a direction change occurs.
