The PCI 7396 and PCI 7348 from ADLINK are parallel digital I/O boards designed for industrial applications with high current drive requirements. The board emulates four 82C55 Programmable Peripheral Interface (PPI) chips. Each PPI offers three 8-bit ports that can be accessed simultaneously, and all ports can be programmed as input or output independently.

It also supports an external trigger to latch the input of digital data. Additionally, the board can generate an interrupt on a change of state for any of the inputs.
