The analog output section contains PC-based data acquisition boards which may be used as voltage or current signal generators, for a range of applications.
Analog output boards, or D/A boards, can be divided into two groups of functionality; Paced and non-paced.
Paced digital to analog data acquisition boards such as the DAQ-2500 series and PCI224, are hardware clocked and commonly have FIFO buffers for fast waveform generation. The ZT530PCI is a fully functional signal generator in a PCI card.
Non-paced analog output boards like the PCI-6208 and PCI-6308 series are primarily used to generate slow, but accurate and stable voltage and current signals for automated test and process applications. Output rates of these analog data acquisition boards can be up to 1kS/s (PC dependent).
