Most competing servers have gigabit ports providing a very high wire-speed but network throughput at the application layer can be low in non-optimised servers. The 4000 series uses 'Intel I/O Acceleration Technology' to optimise TCP throughput. This is especially important for systems with many IP cameras and video servers generating high volumes of network traffic.

The system employs a state of the art RAID controller to provide RAID configurations and optimised single disk configurations for up to 16 x 1TB hard drives. Its 'hot spare' facility allows the system to recover automatically from a disk failure in a RAID configuration and send you an email to let you know that this has happened. This solution could save you thousands of pounds in site visits or penalty payments for failing to meet service level agreements.
