Amplicon's range of stand-alone RISC based front-end embedded computers represent the next generation in Serial to Ethernet technology with ready-to-run out of the box functionality, these units can monitor and control serial instruments, gather and process information, then serve the data as web pages to any device connected to the network that has a web browser.
This range has become ever more popular as designers realise the versatility and cost-effectiveness they offer. These units offer a very professional and extremely cost-effective solution to any application that requires the manipulation of serial data. Ready-to-run out of the box, they have Linux or Win CE pre-installed and come supplied with a complete software development support package. The development support package includes a boot loader, device drivers, cross compiler, debug server, web server (see the datasheets for the full listings).
For OEMs a custom front panel design service is available. Amplicon also offer bespoke software development. This enables you to give end users a dedicated solution for their particular requirements. Also, once software has been written, it can be deployed across many embedded unit boxes so system duplication from one site to the next becomes very simple.
