The Ranger 442 uses multimode fibre optic cable to extend USB 2.0 connections up to 500m on 50/125µm fibre or up to 300m on 62.5/125µm fibre.
The Ranger 444 provides USB 2.0 connectivity over a pair of singlemode fibres up to 10km.

The patented 'ExtremeUSB' protocol allows this product and all the others in the Icron range to operate with unequalled reliability, allowing users to overcome the 5m distance limitation of USB 2.0 with confidence.
