Use any duplex plastic fibre compatible with type ESCA4002, easily cut with a sharp knife, to optically isolate your comms either to deal with unexplained random errors or where there are high voltages or spurious RF signals. Supplied in pairs, the model 490S can extend full duplex RS232 links up to 100m.
