The ACM-1311 incorporates 24 Infra Red LEDs allowing it to automatically operate in low or no-light conditions. Objects up to 15m away can be resolved at night thanks to the built-in IR illumination.

Automatic backlight compensation and gain control maintain a high quality image whilst onboard motion detection can be used to capture specific activity in the camera's field of view. An extensive SDK and Active-X controls are available for application development.

The camera can operate at full frame rate regardless of picture size. Supported resolutions are:
D1, VGA, CIF and QCIF.
